2025 Zurich Classic of New Orleans: How to Watch

Golf news

The only team competition on the PGA Tour is set to tee off this week at TPC Louisiana.

Ryder Cup teammates Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry headline the field of 160 players, who will pair up into two-man teams for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. McIlroy and Lowry aim to defend their title after securing the win last season in a playoff against Chad Ramey and Martin Trainer.

This tournament marks McIlroy`s first appearance since his significant victory at the 2025 Masters, where he completed the career Grand Slam.

Following 36 holes, the top 33 teams, including ties, will advance to the final two rounds. The championship pair will be determined over two rounds of foursomes (alternate shot) and two rounds of four-ball (best ball). The winning duo will each receive $1,329,400 and 400 FedEx Cup points.

Since 2017, this event`s two-man format has encouraged players to team up based on connections such as home countries, colleges, or neighborhoods. The tournament scoring record of 30-under 258 was set in 2023 by Nick Hardy and Davis Riley.
