Гольф-клуб Ak-Chin Southern Dunes, расположенный в Марикопе, Аризона, совместно с индейской общиной Ак-Чин, приступил к подготовительным работам по созданию нового клубного дома и event-центра. В здании разместятся современный фуд-холл, расширенный ресторан Arroyo Grille, новые приватные обеденные залы, просторный банкетный зал, увеличенный гольф-магазин, улучшенные кухонные помещения, люкс для молодоженов и крытая комната с передовым симулятором GOLFZON.
Помещение с симулятором спроектировано с учетом двойного назначения и сможет трансформироваться в комфортное пространство для сборов и отдыха женихов во время свадебных торжеств.
Проект нового клубного дома был разработан архитектурной фирмой Meyers + Associates Architecture из Колумбуса, Огайо. За строительство отвечает аризонская компания PIMMEX-CHASSE, а управление проектом осуществляется Troon Design and Development под руководством признанного лидера отрасли Синди Андерсон, которая сотрудничает с командой Ak-Chin Indian Community по капитальным проектам.

В проекте предусмотрены крытые зоны, стирающие границу между интерьером и экстерьером, позволяя гостям наслаждаться красотой места, оставаясь защищенными от стихий.

Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Unveils World-Class Clubhouse, Marking a New Era
Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, AZ, in partnership with the Ak-Chin Indian Community, has commenced preliminary work on an impressive 24,000-square-foot clubhouse and event complex. Construction is slated to begin in March, with a grand opening projected for spring 2027. This state-of-the-art facility will boast a modern “food hall,” an expanded Arroyo Grille, dedicated private dining areas, a spacious banquet hall, a larger golf retail space, upgraded kitchen facilities, a new bridal suite, and an indoor golf simulator room equipped with the advanced GOLFZON system.
Notably, the simulator room offers versatile functionality, transforming into a comfortable lounge for groomsmen during wedding events.
The architectural vision for the new clubhouse was crafted by Meyers + Associates Architecture, based in Columbus, Ohio. PIMMEX-CHASSE, an Arizona-based firm, is responsible for the construction, with project management support provided by Troon Design and Development, under the expert guidance of industry leader Cindy Anderson, who is collaborating with the Ak-Chin Indian Community’s Capital Projects team.
The clubhouse’s exterior design thoughtfully incorporates heavy exposed timber, natural stone, stucco, decorative concrete, and other organic materials, fostering a timeless and authentic aesthetic. Its color scheme—desert sand, ochre, and red—pays homage to the area’s natural splendor, with warm, earthy hues harmoniously integrated into the various exterior elements to blend seamlessly with the landscape. New outdoor amenities will feature multiple patio dining spaces, an elegant event lawn perfect for gatherings, a cozy fire feature, a revamped putting green, and a distinctive “Halfway House” situated between the 9th green and 10th tee. This unique structure will allow golf carts to drive directly through it, providing a market-style selection of food and beverages for convenience.

The Food Hall
The architectural layout of the new facility centers around a main axis, which functions as a central spine providing access to all public areas. This core not only facilitates seamless movement but also strategically frames picturesque views of the estate. Upon entering the lobby, visitors will navigate through the new food hall and event venue, past the distinctive bar, leading out to a covered patio with a fire feature, and eventually to the event lawn, where panoramic vistas of the desert and golf course unfold. The design incorporates sheltered spaces that elegantly merge interior and exterior environments, allowing guests to appreciate the scenic beauty while being shielded from the elements.

The expanded clubhouse and its new amenities are poised to elevate the visitor experience at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes, offering enhanced dining choices and introducing new entertainment possibilities. With an enlarged footprint accommodating various dining venues and a more extensive banquet facility, the club will deliver greater value to guests and enrich their time on the property. This increased capacity will also enable Ak-Chin Southern Dunes to host larger-scale events, such as weddings and golf tournaments, with greater ease.
By spring 2027, golfers visiting Ak-Chin Southern Dunes, under Troon’s management, will encounter a completely refreshed experience. From a streamlined check-in at the new bag-drop to navigating the expansive clubhouse, players will benefit from modernized amenities and an extended range of offerings, including novel merchandise and diverse food and beverage selections. Furthermore, the innovative Halfway House promises a more efficient stop during rounds. Its “Market” concept will feature grab-and-go options for food and drinks, alongside air-conditioned restrooms and a convenient ice and water station. Providing these services autonomously from the main clubhouse ensures reduced wait times at the turn, facilitating faster rounds and enhancing overall customer satisfaction.

The Ak-Chin Indian Community is situated in the Santa Cruz Valley of Southern Arizona, approximately 35 miles south of Phoenix within the northwestern region of Pinal County. The name “Ak-Chin” derives from the O’odham language, signifying “mouth of the wash” or “the place where the wash dissipates into the sand or ground.” The community comprises over 1,100 tribal members and manages a land area exceeding 22,000 acres.
