According to multiple Italian sources, the futures of Massimiliano Allegri and Igli Tare at AC Milan are currently uncertain, regardless of whether the club secures a Champions League spot.
Milan may be heading for significant changes this summer, with both coach Allegri and director Tare facing unclear prospects.
Milan expert Carlo Pellegatti has indicated that Allegri might not continue at the San Siro beyond the summer, citing strained relations with the club’s CEO, Giorgio Furlani. Although Allegri’s contract extends to June 2027, it includes an automatic renewal to 2028 if Milan qualifies for the Champions League this season.
Calciomercato.com corroborates that the strained relationship with Furlani could lead to Allegri’s departure, irrespective of Champions League qualification. Reports suggest that Allegri and Furlani have held several meetings recently to discuss the club’s long-term strategy, but they appear to have differing viewpoints.
Tuttomercatoweb adds that Tare is also under scrutiny. The significant summer investments made by Milan have not yielded the desired results, with particular disappointment surrounding Christopher Nkunku and Ardon Jashari.
The same report suggests that Atalanta’s Tony D’Amico remains a target for Milan, following their interest last summer. However, Atalanta is reportedly still unwilling to let their sporting director leave.
