The Future of Formula E

The future of Formula E excites Dennis, particularly with the introduction of the Gen 4 cars next season. Announced last November, these new vehicles will feature 600kW of power and active all-wheel drive throughout the race, promising not only faster speeds but also enhanced wheel-to-wheel combat. Early feedback from drivers has been overwhelmingly positive regarding their increased pace and acceleration. Beyond the cars, new venues are also on the horizon. While the London Excel Circuit is out, a new British location is anticipated. Madrid is confirmed for the 2025/26 season, and China will gain a second race with the Sanya Street Circuit. Dennis also expressed a desire to race in Australia, specifically Sydney, though he notes current logistical challenges make it a less immediate prospect.

“I’ve only heard from a handful of drivers what it’s [the Gen4 car] like, but it’s all been really positive things of how much quicker it is, the acceleration, the top speed. It’s an exciting time in Formula E.”
