Historic Transgender MMA Title Fight Set for New Jersey

MMA news

Critical Combat has announced a groundbreaking event: the first mixed martial arts title bout between two transgender combat sports athletes. This historic contest is scheduled to take place on June 20, 2026, in Middletown, New Jersey.

Summer Brady and Gita Figueroa are set to compete for the Undisputed Critical Combat Femme Championship in the Super Lightweight division.

Summer Brady, formerly known as Sean Brady (and not to be confused with the UFC fighter), brings an amateur Muay Thai record of 3 wins and 2 losses to this highly anticipated matchup.

Gita Figueroa holds an amateur MMA record of 1 win and 2 losses, complemented by significant experience in both kickboxing and Muay Thai bouts.

The two fighters previously met in December under Muay Thai rules, where Gita Figueroa emerged victorious via a unanimous decision over Summer Brady.
