Italy’s World Cup Play-off Final Ticket Allocation Revealed

Sport news

Italy has been allotted a modest 500 tickets for their upcoming World Cup play-off final against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The decisive match is scheduled for Tuesday at Bilino Polje Stadium in Zenica.

Reports indicate that only this small contingent of Italian supporters will be granted access to the away section of the stadium for the clash between the Azzurri and the host nation, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The decision for Bosnia and Herzegovina to host the final was determined by a draw held in December.

Bilino Polje Stadium, with an original capacity of 15,600, will see a reduced attendance for the final. FIFA imposed a reduction of 2,100 seats following incidents during Bosnia’s match against Romania in November 2025.

The demand for tickets has been exceptionally high on the Bosnian side, with the Bosnian Football Federation announcing that all available tickets for the final against Italy were sold within hours of their semi-final victory over Wales on penalties last Thursday.

On the same day as Bosnia’s semi-final win, Italy secured their place in the final by defeating Northern Ireland 2-0 in Bergamo, thanks to goals from Sandro Tonali and Moise Kean.

Match Details

The World Cup play-off final is set to take place next Tuesday, March 31, 2026, with kick-off at 20:45 CET (19:45 GMT).
