Swedish martial artist Johanna Persson is set to make her highly anticipated debut in ONE Championship, directly challenging the formidable champion Allycia Rodrigues.
This significant challenge marks Persson`s first appearance in ONE Championship, where she will face the reigning atomweight queen, Allycia Rodrigues, in the headlining event of ONE Fight Night 33.
The bout will see Persson donning the lighter 4oz gloves for the first time, taking on the promotion`s longest-standing champion at the renowned Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok.
Unlike many combat sports athletes, Persson`s journey into martial arts began later in life. She discovered Muay Thai at age 23 during her university years, transforming her naturally active childhood energy into a disciplined fighting career. What started as a casual interest rapidly evolved into a deep passion, culminating in her capture of the WBC Muay Thai world title in Scotland this past April.
At 29 years old, and already a holder of both ISKA and WBC world championships, Persson is now poised for what is arguably the most significant challenge of her career within the prestigious ONE Championship promotion.
