According to recent reports, Juventus plans to offload at least seven players during the upcoming summer transfer window, a list that surprisingly includes three footballers acquired at the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
Bianconeri’s Current Situation and Off-Field Tasks
Currently, the Bianconeri face a significant challenge in Serie A, sitting in fifth position, three points adrift of Como in the top four. With only eight matches remaining, securing a spot in the Champions League remains their primary objective.
Beyond on-field performance, the club has crucial internal matters to resolve, such as negotiating new contracts for head coach Luciano Spalletti and star striker Dusan Vlahovic, whose substantial €12m-per-season deal is set to expire at the close of the 2025-26 season.
In addition to potential new arrivals, Juventus aims to divest a number of first-team squad members during the off-season, following a generally underwhelming performance throughout the current campaign.
Goalkeeping Department Under Scrutiny
The goalkeeping department is one area earmarked for change this summer. Michele Di Gregorio’s inconsistent displays make him a prime candidate for sale, provided a suitable offer materializes. Corriere dello Sport suggests the former Monza keeper is more likely to depart than Mattia Perin, though Perin’s long-term future in Turin is also far from secure.
Attacking Overhaul and Complicated Departures
Another key area slated for a major overhaul is the central attacking position. Summer recruits Jonathan David and Lois Openda have failed to meet expectations, indicating their tenures at the Allianz Stadium may be short-lived.
Offloading David should present fewer complications for the Old Lady. Recent speculation suggests interest from clubs in Ligue 1, and since he joined on a free transfer last summer, recouping a transfer fee for the Canadian international should be a relatively straightforward process.
However, the situation surrounding Openda is considerably more complex. Juventus secured him last summer on a loan deal with a mandatory €42m purchase clause. Finding a new club willing to match that valuation after a disappointing 2025-26 season will prove to be a formidable task.
Other Players Facing Exit
Elsewhere, full-back Joao Mario, currently on loan at Bologna, is also expected to depart this summer. Furthermore, reports from Corriere dello Sport indicate that Juventus would consider selling Italian international Andrea Cambiaso if an attractive offer comes in.
Filip Kostic, whose contract is nearing its end, will also be permitted to leave on a free transfer once the current season concludes.
Finally, Corriere dello Sport also suggests that Juventus is open to offers for Edon Zhegrova, another of last summer’s signings. Zhegrova has struggled with injuries and fitness during his inaugural Serie A season, with Sunday’s reports citing interest from clubs in Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga.
