Kevin De Bruyne has shared a positive update on his physical condition following his recovery from injury. The midfielder also offered advice to Napoli regarding their pursuit of the Scudetto, stating, “I’ve been in situations where I’ve been ahead or behind.”
De Bruyne, who was sidelined for over four months due to a significant thigh tear, made his return on March 6 and has since started the last two matches. Reflecting on his comeback, De Bruyne told DAZN Italia, “I feel good, obviously I’ve been away for a long time, but I worked hard to come back in the right way.” He added, “Having a big surgery like this is never easy, but I’ve been through some injuries in my career before and tried to come back as good as possible. I feel good for the moment, that’s the most important thing.”
When asked about the Scudetto race, with Inter facing a challenging fixture and Milan having already suffered a defeat, De Bruyne emphasized the importance of focusing on their own performances. “We just have to keep concentrating on what you need to do, we cannot think about what’s going to happen to Inter, we need to try to win our games,” he explained.
Drawing from his extensive experience, De Bruyne continued, “I’ve been in situations where I’ve been ahead or behind, in some situations we’ve done it and sometimes we didn’t. All we can really do is do our job and hope Inter will make mistakes. We’ll try to win every game and see what happens.”
