Secondo il QS World University Rankings, il MIT – Massachusetts Institute of Technology si conferma per il quattordicesimo anno consecutivo la migliore università al mondo. Sul podio seguono l’Imperial College di Londra, Stanford, Oxford e Harvard, riconosciute come eccellenze globali. La classifica, elaborata da QS Quacquarelli Symonds, evidenzia inoltre una notevole crescita delle università asiatiche, con la National University of Singapore che ha scalato 20 posizioni in tre anni, entrando nella Top Ten prevista per il 2026.
L’Italia brilla in diverse discipline: La Sapienza di Roma si distingue per il sesto anno consecutivo come la migliore università al mondo per Lettere Classiche e Storia Antica, superando prestigiose istituzioni come Fudan e Pechino (Cina) e Oxford. Il Politecnico di Milano si colloca tra le prime 100 università a livello globale, attestandosi al novantottesimo posto. L’ateneo milanese eccelle particolarmente, posizionandosi sesto per Architettura e settimo in Arte e Design. Ottimi risultati anche per la Bocconi (nona nel Marketing e decima in Economia e gestione aziendale) e la Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, decima negli studi classici.
La metodologia di questa prestigiosa classifica si basa sull’analisi approfondita di oltre 21.000 programmi accademici in più di 1.900 università, distribuite in 100 paesi e coprendo 55 discipline. I criteri chiave includono la reputazione accademica e presso i datori di lavoro, l’impatto delle pubblicazioni (citazioni per paper e H-Index) e la portata della collaborazione internazionale (IRN-International Research Network).

According to the QS World University Rankings, the MIT – Massachusetts Institute of Technology has been confirmed as the best university in the world for the fourteenth consecutive year. Following on the podium are Imperial College London, Stanford, Oxford, and Harvard, all recognized as global excellences. The ranking, compiled by QS Quacquarelli Symonds, also highlights a remarkable growth of Asian universities, with the National University of Singapore climbing 20 positions in three years, projected to enter the Top Ten by 2026.
Italy shines in various disciplines: La Sapienza University of Rome stands out for the sixth consecutive year as the best university globally for Classics and Ancient History, surpassing prestigious institutions such as Fudan and Peking (China) and Oxford. The Politecnico di Milano is ranked among the top 100 universities worldwide, securing the ninety-eighth position. The Milanese institution particularly excels, ranking sixth for Architecture and seventh in Art & Design. Excellent results were also achieved by Bocconi University (ninth in Marketing and tenth in Business & Management) and the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, tenth in Classical Studies.
The methodology of this prestigious ranking is based on an in-depth analysis of over 21,000 academic programs across more than 1,900 universities, spanning 100 countries and covering 55 disciplines. Key criteria include academic and employer reputation, the impact of publications (citations per paper and H-Index), and the extent of international collaboration (IRN-International Research Network).
