Mexico City Grand Prix Secures F1 Future Until 2028

F1 news

Formula 1`s Mexico City Grand Prix is confirmed to stay on the F1 calendar until 2028 after a new three-year extension was agreed upon.

The event made its return to Formula 1 in 2015. Among the current drivers competing, only Lewis Hamilton, Carlos Sainz, and Max Verstappen have previously won the Mexico City GP.

Looking ahead, the 2025 Mexico City Grand Prix is scheduled to be held from October 24th to 26th.

Formula 1 President Stefano Domenicali expressed his enthusiasm for the agreement, stating: “We are delighted to announce that the Mexico City Grand Prix will continue as a part of our calendar through 2028.”

“Formula 1 is defined by energy, passion, and emotion, and the unique atmosphere generated by our fans in Mexico City each year provides one of the most incredible and vibrant experiences across our championship,” Domenicali added.

He concluded: “We eagerly anticipate continuing this exceptional collaboration and experiencing the remarkable enthusiasm of the Mexican fans again this October.”
