Miami GP 2025 Sprint weekend dates, schedule, weather, UK start time and how to watch or stream F1 race in Florida on Sky Sports

F1 news

Formula 1 is set for the first of its three planned United States appearances in 2025, with the Miami Grand Prix hosting a Sprint weekend.

Following recent races, focus shifts to the unique challenge of the Miami International Autodrome. Drivers will be pushing hard, and teams will be evaluating their performance against rivals like McLaren, potentially building on past successes at this venue, the ever-competitive Red Bull squad, and teams aiming to improve their form such as Ferrari and Mercedes.

Miami International Autodrome Circuit

Joining the Formula 1 calendar in 2022, the Miami Grand Prix circuit is a purpose-built street track encircling the Hard Rock Stadium, home of the NFL`s Miami Dolphins.

This 3.36-mile (approx 5.4 km) layout features a high-speed opening section and a significant back straight leading into one of the prime overtaking spots before the final corners. A distinctive element of the track is the tricky Turn 14/15 chicane, which requires drivers to slow considerably and carefully navigate the robust sausage kerbs.

Miami GP Weather Forecast

While previous Miami Grand Prix events have generally been dry, the weather forecast for the 2025 weekend suggests a possibility of thundery showers on Sunday, coinciding with the main race which starts locally at 4pm (9pm UK time). Friday and Saturday are currently predicted to be dry, with comfortable temperatures throughout the event expected to be in the high 20s Celsius.
