Netflix subscribers are experiencing increased prices across several tiers, an adjustment that comes just ahead of the streaming giant’s inaugural live-streamed mixed martial arts event. Anticipation has been building for the May 16 fight card, which features the high-profile returns of Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano, alongside other prominent figures like Nate Diaz, Mike Perry, Francis Ngannou, and Junior dos Santos.
The new pricing structure affects various subscription plans. The standard account with advertisements has risen from $7.99 to $8.99 monthly. For those preferring an ad-free experience, the standard plan now costs $19.99, up from its previous $17.99. The premium tier, which includes benefits such as access for four users, has also seen an increase, moving from $24.99 to $26.99 per month.
These updated rates are now in effect, setting the stage for Netflix’s groundbreaking foray into live sports broadcasting with the highly anticipated MMA event, produced by Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions.
