The second season for PGA Tour 2K25 has officially launched, bringing fresh updates and content designed by developer HB Studios and publisher 2K Games to enhance the experience for virtual golfers.
The standout feature of this new season is the introduction of the Challenges mode. This innovative mode combines intricate golf scenarios with elements commonly found in role-playing games. Players are presented with a map where they can choose their own path to complete various challenges and earn rewards. While maintaining the core realism of golf, some of the missions incorporate more arcade-style elements to add variety.
In these scenarios, players are tasked with meeting specific conditions, often aided or hindered by unique modifiers. For instance, a challenge might require players to guide their shots through a series of floating rings.
Future scenarios are planned to draw inspiration from significant moments in golf history, allowing players to attempt to replicate some of the sport`s most legendary shots. HB Studios has committed to continuously updating and refreshing the Challenges mode in future seasons. Furthermore, a completely new course designed specifically for this mode, created in collaboration with Charles Schwab, is slated for release in the near future.
Beyond the Challenges mode, Season 2 also adds the historic Old Course at St. Andrews to PGA Tour 2K25. The update also includes a new range of unlockable content, such as various gear, upgrades, and enhancements. Among these new additions is a shot type called the Long Flop. This shot offers slightly more power than the standard Flop Shot but is similar in its high trajectory, spin, and subsequent roll. It`s presented as a valuable option for adjusting your shot if a previous one landed short of the target.
