What Happened?
Swiss international Alisha Lehmann has become one of the most recognizable figures in women`s football. Her significant online presence, with 16.7 million followers on Instagram, contributes significantly to her fame.
The Bigger Picture
At times, she has faced accusations that she prioritizes promoting her personal brand over playing club football, currently for Juventus. However, Lehmann has consistently denied these claims.
What Lehmann Said
Responding to further questions about her life away from the pitch, Lehmann stated in an interview with Blick: “People might not believe it, but my screen time is among the lowest on the team. With the national team, I`m on my phone a little more during free periods. But in Turin or back home in Bern with my family, I hardly ever need my phone. Sometimes I can`t even find it. I`m 26 and don`t spend all day on my phone; I want to experience life and moments with my friends and family.”
The Gossip
Commenting on her social media activity, she added: “I quickly take a picture and post it. It takes two seconds, just like for anyone else. I don`t understand why people think my life is so stressful! I take a nap that feels like three hours every afternoon, then I get up, grab a snack, and play Fortnite or watch Netflix.”

Did You Know?
Regarding the criticism she receives from online trolls who scrutinize her life, Lehmann remarked: “I wouldn`t say it bothers me. Everyone is free to say and think what they want. Social media only shows a small part of our lives; people don`t see everything else I do all day. I have good people around me and I`m happy in my life. That`s why I focus on other things and don`t even read those comments anymore.”
What Next?
Lehmann, who won the Serie A title with Juventus in her first season in Italy, is now preparing for the European Championship where she will represent Switzerland as the host nation.
