Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2025: Jeddah Race Preview

F1 news

Formula 1`s first triple-header of the 2025 season culminates with the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah.

Following the Bahrain race, Oscar Piastri leads closely behind Lando Norris in the championship standings, with Max Verstappen also within striking distance.

George Russell`s strong performance in Bahrain, securing second place, positions him close to the top as well, making the F1 Drivers` Championship tightly contested.

McLaren currently holds a significant lead in the Constructors` Championship over Mercedes and is anticipated to be a strong contender again at the challenging Jeddah Corniche Circuit.

Ferrari aims to build upon their improved performance from Bahrain in Jeddah, with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc seeking their first podium finishes of the season.

Jeddah Corniche Circuit: Saudi Arabian GP Track

Debuting on the F1 calendar in 2021, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is known for being a demanding track due to its high-speed sections flanked by walls.

Drivers must exhibit full commitment, as getting closer to the walls translates to increased speed, but also heightened risk of crashes.

Hamilton was victorious in the inaugural 2021 race, but Red Bull has since dominated, winning the subsequent three races with Verstappen in 2022 and 2024, and Perez in 2023.

Weather Forecast for the Saudi Arabian GP in Jeddah

Similar to Bahrain, expect hot and dry conditions throughout the Jeddah race weekend. Even during the evening sessions like FP2, Qualifying, and the Grand Prix, temperatures will remain around 30°C.
