With only eight matches remaining, and Napoli trailing by just seven points, the Scudetto battle has unexpectedly reignited.
Shevchenko’s View on Milan’s Title Hopes and Leao
“Inter possesses a significantly deeper squad and holds a points advantage, but Milan is undeniably enjoying a strong season,” observed club legend Shevchenko, speaking to reporters while attending the Legends Trophy tour event.
He continued, “The victory against Torino represented a crucial stride forward, especially after Allegri successfully re-energized the team following their loss to Lazio. I believe Milan will secure wins in their upcoming fixtures, maintaining pressure on Inter. If they remain contenders, then truly anything is possible. The fate of the title will be sealed in the coming weeks.”
Milan’s recent defeat to Lazio was overshadowed by controversy surrounding Rafael Leao. The player reportedly reacted angrily to being substituted, resisted a hug from coach Max Allegri, and was even said to have argued with teammate Christian Pulisic.
