Following a series of stellar displays, including a recent spectacular long-range goal, Milan defender Strahinja Pavlovic has reportedly attracted significant interest from Chelsea.
The powerful 24-year-old centre-back has showcased his versatility and impact at both ends of the pitch. This season, he has contributed four goals and one assist across 26 Serie A appearances. His recent extraordinary strike, a shot off the underside of the crossbar, was a decisive moment in Milan’s 3-2 victory over Torino on Saturday, further highlighting his offensive capabilities.
Pavlovic’s Flourishing Career at Milan
Pavlovic joined Milan from RB Salzburg in the summer of 2024 for a fee of €18.5m plus bonuses, and has since thrived in Italy. Chelsea scouts are said to have been highly impressed by his performances, believing his playing style would be an excellent fit for the rigorous demands of the Premier League.
The Serbia international is under contract with Milan until June 2028, with the club holding an option to extend it for an additional year. His formidable physical presence and defensive style have drawn comparisons to former Milan stalwart Jaap Stam.
Despite Chelsea’s reported interest, Milan is reportedly in no hurry to sell their valuable asset. The club is prepared to resist an initial offer from Chelsea, rumored to be in the region of €40m. With the Rossoneri firmly on track for Champions League qualification, their financial standing is expected to strengthen further, allowing them to confidently rebuff early bids for Pavlovic.
