Following Sandro Tonali’s impressive display in Italy’s 2-0 victory against Northern Ireland, former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi expressed his strong desire for Juventus director Giorgio Chiellini to secure the Newcastle star’s transfer to Turin.
Tonali played a pivotal role in the Azzurri’s 2-0 win on Thursday, scoring a goal and providing an assist, which helped Italy qualify for the World Cup play-off Final.
A vocal supporter of the Bianconeri, Tacchinardi, who formerly played for both Italy and Juventus, took to social media to commend Tonali’s performance. He then directly appealed to his friend, Juventus director Giorgio Chiellini, to facilitate the Newcastle player’s signing this summer.

In an Instagram story posted the day after the match, Tacchinardi passionately wrote, “Super Chiellini, bring him to Turin, a proper player.”
While Juventus has reportedly shown interest in Tonali, recent speculations indicate that Newcastle United would command a transfer fee of at least €90 million for the former AC Milan midfielder this summer.

This season, the 25-year-old midfielder has contributed significantly to Newcastle, registering three goals and seven assists in 47 competitive appearances. For the Italian national team, Tonali has netted four goals in 31 caps.
