Reports indicate that Newcastle has set a substantial €90 million valuation on Sandro Tonali, making a transfer back to Serie A appear improbable for the Italian midfielder. However, a move to another prominent Premier League club is still considered a viable option.
Tonali: Latest Transfer Updates
According to Italian transfer specialist Matteo Moretto, there are new developments regarding the future of Italy international Tonali.
Newcastle views the former Milan standout as an integral part of their squad. Nevertheless, the club and player are expected to assess their options in the coming months, influenced by any incoming offers.
The report suggests that Newcastle’s asking price for Tonali is reportedly in the region of €90-100 million. Should Newcastle maintain this high valuation, Serie A clubs would face significant obstacles in acquiring his services.
Moretto confirms that Juventus holds the strongest interest in Tonali, but the current valuation is deemed excessively high for the Turin giants.
Concurrently, several Premier League teams have already initiated contact, notably both Manchester clubs and other teams currently occupying the top four positions in the league standings.
Moretto further states that Tonali has considerable interest from clubs across England, although it remains uncertain if any potential buyer will meet Newcastle’s demanding transfer fee this summer.
The 25-year-old Tonali is contracted to Newcastle United until June 2028. This season, the Italian midfielder has contributed three goals and seven assists across 45 competitive appearances.
Separately, Juventus is also reportedly targeting Bernardo Silva and Leon Goretzka, both of whom could be available as free agents when the season concludes.
