UFC Champion Carlos Ulberg Loses New Title Belt, Cites Alcohol

MMA news

Newly crowned UFC light heavyweight champion Carlos Ulberg has reportedly misplaced his championship belt. Ulberg clarified that the belt wasn’t lost during competition, but rather that he simply cannot locate it.

Speaking to Fox Sports Australia on Monday, Ulberg admitted, “I’ve lost the belt, bro. I don’t know exactly where it is. Initially, after winning, the plan was to abstain from drinking. However, as these celebrations often unfold, one drink leads to another. It started with champagne for the victory, then escalated to shots, and before I knew it, I was having ‘just one more.’ We had a large group of friends with us in Miami, and after the fight concluded, we headed out to an afterparty at a nightclub.”

He continued, “Following the nightclub, we returned to one of the guys’ apartments where we continued to hang out. I didn’t want to be carrying the belt around, so I believe it’s still somewhere at the apartment. One of my friends might even have it with him.”

Carlos Ulberg secured the vacant UFC light heavyweight title by defeating former champion Jiri Prochazka in the main event of UFC 327 in Miami on Saturday.
