The FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier between Curacao and Ivory Coast is set to kick off, with both teams’ aspirations for the tournament on the line.
Ivory Coast holds a strong position in second place in their group with three points, leading Curacao and Ecuador by two points.
Curacao recently secured a hard-fought draw against Ecuador. A victory against Ivory Coast today could potentially see them climb to second in the group standings, assuming favorable results in other matches.
While Curacao’s lineup does not feature any players from Italy’s Serie A, Ivory Coast will be represented by Atalanta’s Odilon Kossounou and Inter Milan’s promising talent Ange-Yoan Bonny, both of whom are in the starting eleven.
Former Atalanta winger Amad Diallo is also set to start for the Ivorian side. Roma’s Evan Ndicka will unfortunately miss the match due to fitness concerns.
