Agent: Pio Esposito Aims for a Decade-Long Stay at Inter

Sport news

Pio Esposito is committed to staying with Inter Milan for the next decade, according to his agent. The young Italian international has had a breakthrough season, and his agent emphasized that a transfer is not on the horizon.

Having emerged from Inter’s youth academy, where he previously worked under Cristian Chivu, Esposito’s development continued with a successful loan spell at Spezia in Serie B. Upon his return, he was integrated into the senior squad as one of four strikers and has thrived.

Pio Esposito: A Valued Asset for Inter

Despite attracting interest from prominent clubs abroad, including Newcastle United and Arsenal, the 20-year-old forward is not considering a move. His agent, Mario Giuffredi, expressed this sentiment at the Inside the Sport 2026 event in Coverciano.

“Pio is happy at Inter, and I believe both the player and the club’s desire is to stay together for the next 10 years,” Giuffredi told reporters. “Regarding the transfer market for Pio Esposito, unless the club initiates it, neither I nor the player are planning such a move. For us, Pio’s transfer market has not begun and never will, as there will be no transfer market for him. He is content to remain with the Nerazzurri.”

Esposito has been a significant contributor this season, scoring nine goals and providing six assists in 43 competitive matches. His impressive form earned him a call-up to the Italian national team, where he has already scored three goals in seven appearances.

“I think we have far exceeded all expectations for him this season,” Giuffredi concluded.

Reports from October indicated that Inter Milan was prepared to reject offers as high as €50 million for the young striker and intended to secure him with a new, improved contract. His current agreement, signed in April 2025, is set to run until June 2030.
