Ancelotti Commits to Brazil Through 2030 World Cup

Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti has officially prolonged his contract with the Brazilian national football team, extending his commitment until 2030, prior to the team’s participation in the World Cup.

The esteemed tactician, who will celebrate his 67th birthday next month, took the helm of the Seleção in May 2025, following the conclusion of his second tenure at Real Madrid.

During his initial period, Ancelotti has managed 10 matches, securing three victories, one draw, and two defeats. This record has evidently been sufficient for the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) to place their full confidence in him.

Ancelotti Expresses Commitment to Brazil

The CBF has offered Ancelotti a new contract that will keep him with the team until 2030, and he has readily accepted, confirming his decision to lead Brazil through to the 2030 World Cup.

Ancelotti stated on the official CBF website, “I arrived in Brazil a year ago. From the very first minute, I understood the significance of football in this country. For the past year, we have been working diligently to restore the Brazilian National Team to the pinnacle of world football. However, both the CBF and I aspire to achieve even more – more victories, more time, and more dedicated work.”

“We are thrilled to announce that we will continue this journey together for another four years. Our path will lead us all the way to the 2030 World Cup. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the CBF for their unwavering trust. Thank you, Brazil, for the incredibly warm welcome and for all the affection you have shown me.”

This extension effectively extinguishes any lingering hopes in Italy that Ancelotti might return to manage the Azzurri.

Ancelotti holds a unique place in football history as the only coach to have won titles in all five major European leagues: Italy (Milan), England (Chelsea), France (Paris Saint-Germain), Spain (Real Madrid), and Germany (Bayern Munich).

He has also lifted the Champions League trophy five times with Milan and Real Madrid, in addition to numerous other prestigious accolades.
