Italian media sources suggest that Premier League club Chelsea may be considering a transfer for Milan defender Strahinja Pavlovic during the upcoming summer transfer window. However, other clubs are also reportedly in pursuit of the Serbian international.
Interest from Chelsea and Manchester United in Pavlovic
Pavlovic joined AC Milan from RB Salzburg in the summer of 2024 for a fee of €18 million plus add-ons. He became a regular starter for the Rossoneri in the latter half of the 2024-25 season and has since made a significant impact in the 2025-26 campaign. In 31 appearances in the Italian top flight, he has scored four goals and provided one assist.
His performances at left-back in Milan’s back three have attracted the attention of several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and, more recently, Chelsea, according to reports from Calciomercato.com. Several clubs from the Saudi Pro League are also said to be interested.
Calciomercato claims that Chelsea has shown the most concrete interest in acquiring Pavlovic this summer.
Milan are reportedly keen to retain Pavlovic for the 2026-27 season. Nevertheless, it is unlikely that the Rossoneri would stand in the way of a transfer if a substantial offer were received, a scenario that has played out with players like Malick Thiaw, Tijjani Reijnders, and Sandro Tonali in recent seasons.
AC Milan is reportedly valuing Pavlovic at approximately €50 million, a figure that would be within the financial reach of a club like Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Chelsea is expected to consider the sale of centre-back Benoit Badiashile this summer, who has previously been linked with a move to Milan. However, reports from Calciomercato indicate that Milan is not interested in including any players in a part-exchange deal for Pavlovic.
Instead, Milan is reportedly interested in signing Lazio’s Mario Gila, and a sale of Pavlovic could potentially provide the necessary funds to facilitate that transfer.
