Italian club Fiorentina is reportedly in discussions with Wolverhampton Wanderers regarding the acquisition of Spanish left-back Hugo Bueno. According to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, negotiations are underway for the 23-year-old player.
Bueno has been a part of the Wolves academy since 2019 and spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Dutch club Feyenoord. This past season, he featured in 38 competitive matches for Wolves, registering one goal and two assists.
Fiorentina Identifies Bueno as Left-Back Option
Transfer expert Matteo Moretto, who collaborates with Fabrizio Romano, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that Fiorentina is actively pursuing talks for Bueno. This move aligns with Fiorentina’s recent strategy of sourcing players from the Premier League, having previously signed Manor Solomon from Tottenham Hotspur and Jack Harrison from Leeds United.
Bueno could potentially fill the void left by Fabiano Parisi, who is expected to be sidelined for an extended period due to an anterior cruciate ligament tear in his knee. While Fiorentina does have other options at left-back, including Robin Gosens, Niccolò Fortini, and Luis Balbo, Bueno represents a potential new addition to the squad.
