In a Group B match against Qatar, the young forward weaved past two defenders before unleashing a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, giving Bosnia and Herzegovina the lead.

Having developed in Bayer Leverkusen’s youth academy and then featuring for RB Salzburg, where he recorded 13 goals and four assists in 44 appearances this season, Alajbegovic is now attracting significant attention. Bayer Leverkusen exercised their buy-back option for €8 million, but it is widely expected that the player will seek a move elsewhere, with a strong desire to play in Serie A.

Roma would be a particularly attractive destination, especially given their qualification for the Champions League. However, Atalanta, with potentially greater financial resources, might also be in a strong position to secure his signature.
