Heritage Golf Group has expanded its portfolio by acquiring The Palisades Country Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, from Timberlake Golf Club, LLC. This strategic move signifies Heritage’s debut in the Charlotte area and broadens its footprint in the Carolinas, complementing its existing network of clubs in regions like Wilmington, Myrtle Beach, and Hilton Head Island.

“We are thrilled to welcome The Palisades Country Club to the Heritage Golf Group family and to establish our presence in the vibrant Charlotte market,” stated Mark Gore, executive vice president of operations for Heritage Golf Group. “The Palisades is a distinguished club, boasting a superb Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, outstanding family-oriented amenities, and a strong community spirit that makes it a central hub for life in The Palisades. We are honored to take on the stewardship of this club and are eager to introduce our commitment to reinvestment and member-centric service to the Charlotte community. We look forward to collaborating with the team and membership to build upon the existing strengths that make The Palisades such a cherished part of the community.”

Situated within the expansive 1,600-acre master-planned community of The Palisades, just outside Charlotte, the country club features a golf course intricately designed to harmonize with the natural topography along Lake Wylie. The course is crafted to be enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels and is supported by comprehensive practice facilities, including a dedicated short game area.

Beyond golf, members benefit from a diverse range of sports and wellness amenities offered through the Club’s Signature Sports Complex. This facility encompasses tennis and pickleball courts, a modern fitness center, and an impressive resort-style aquatic complex featuring a zero-entry pool, lap lanes, water slides, and family-focused water attractions.

Initial plans for capital improvements are presently under review. These plans will be shaped by feedback from members and the club’s team to ensure that future enhancements align with the club’s distinct priorities. The initial investments will primarily target enhancements to the golf course and the improvement of amenities designed to elevate the overall member experience.

This acquisition represents Heritage Golf Group’s 48th property acquired in just six years under its current ownership, demonstrating a sustained trajectory of growth and expansion into new markets.
