According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan is planning a substantial transformation of its central midfield. The club is reportedly targeting Valencia’s Javi Guerra and Sassuolo’s Canadian international Ismael Koné. Concurrently, four midfielders are anticipated to depart from the San Siro.
Milan has maintained its interest in the promising Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra throughout the 2025-26 season.
Key Milan Transfer Developments: Guerra, Koné, and More
Guerra was a transfer target for Milan last summer. Despite signing a new contract with Valencia until 2029, the Serie A club has continued to monitor his progress this campaign.
The report also indicates that Milan is keen on Sassuolo and Canada midfielder Ismael Koné, who has scored six goals in Serie A this season.
Gazzetta suggests that Sassuolo might be open to a player-plus-cash exchange involving either Christian Comotto, currently on loan at Spezia, or Francesco Camarda.
Significant changes are expected in Milan’s central midfield during the summer transfer window, as Youssouf Fofana and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are likely to leave the club.
Warren Bondo and Ismael Bennacer will return to Milan following their loan spells and are expected to be put on the transfer market. Yunus Musah will also return; however, he might remain at Milan due to his versatility.
The Rossoneri will also await Luka Modrić’s decision regarding his future, hoping the Croatian star will agree to extend his stay at the club for another season.
