PFL New York Results: Usman Nurmagomedov Knocks Out Archie Colgan

The PFL New York event, held at UBS Arena, delivered a night of thrilling mixed martial arts action, marked by impressive performances and decisive finishes. The event followed a significant merger announcement between MVP and the PFL, with MVP Co-Founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidaria, alongside CEO John Martin, present at the event. Notable figures from the combat sports world, including Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Islam Makhachev, Kamaru Usman, Royce Gracie, and PFL Interim World Champion Johnny Eblen, were in attendance.

In the main event, defending PFL Lightweight World Champion Usman Nurmagomedov (22-0, 1NC) secured a dominant first-round TKO victory against the previously undefeated challenger Archie Colgan (13-1), retaining his title. Nurmagomedov showcased his striking prowess, dropping Colgan with a head kick followed by a left hook. Despite Colgan's resilience, Nurmagomedov finished the fight with powerful uppercuts and ground-and-pound in the opening round.

The co-main event featured the successful return of top-ranked Dakota Ditcheva (16-0), who defeated Denise Kielholtz (9-6) by unanimous decision. Ditcheva, competing for the first time in over a year, displayed exceptional striking skills and secured a takedown, proving to be too much for Kielholtz.

Amru Magomedov (11-0) delivered a striking clinic against Angel Alvarez (11-3), ultimately winning by second-round TKO. Magomedov's effective leg kicks weakened Alvarez, and he secured the finish with ground-and-pound from full mount.

Moustapha Diakhate (6-0-1) kicked off the main card with a statement, defeating Darryl Walker (2-1) by first-round TKO in his PFL debut. Diakhate secured an early takedown and advanced to full mount, overwhelming Walker with strikes for the stoppage.
