Pavlovic Backs Milan-Linked Forward Vlahovic as ‘One of the Best in the World’ Amid Juventus Uncertainty

Sport news

Strahinja Pavlovic, a defender for AC Milan, has offered high praise for his Serbian national team colleague and potential future teammate at Milan, Dusan Vlahovic. Pavlovic described Vlahovic as one of the top strikers globally, while tactfully avoiding direct comment on whether the Juventus forward should transfer to the Rossoneri this summer.

Speaking to Tuttosport, Pavlovic openly discussed his close personal relationship with Vlahovic, revealing that they communicate almost daily, either through calls or messages.

“Dusan is a very close friend of mine,” Pavlovic stated, with his remarks reported by MilanNews. “Before I joined Milan, I asked him about what Italy was like. I also discussed it with Milenkovic and Terzic. It’s great to have so many of my compatriots playing here.”

Pavlovic Remains Reserved on Milan & Vlahovic Transfer Speculation

When questioned about the potential benefit of a player of Vlahovic’s caliber joining AC Milan, Pavlovic was diplomatic yet undeniably enthusiastic in his commendation.

“That’s not a question for me to answer,” he said with a smile. “But I can confidently say he is an exceptional player with immense quality. When he’s in top form, he’s undoubtedly number one, the best striker in the league, and among the best in the world. Marking him during training is no easy task.”

He also recalled facing Vlahovic directly during their first league encounter this season between Milan and Juventus, when the Serbian striker entered the match as a substitute in the final 20 minutes.

With Vlahovic’s contract at Juventus set to expire in June and renewal negotiations ongoing, Pavlovic’s glowing review is likely to further fuel speculation regarding the forward’s future club.
