Matias Soulé is reportedly showing increasing willingness to accept a transfer to the Saudi Pro League, with offers reaching a significant €12 million per season. Both Al-Ahli and Al-Diraiyah are said to be prepared to meet Roma’s valuation of €30 million, plus additional clauses.
Roma finds itself in a critical financial situation, requiring a substantial player sale by June 30 to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations. The Argentine midfielder has emerged as the most probable candidate to be moved on.
Soulé has struggled to establish consistency and integrate into coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s tactical system, leading to his placement on the transfer market. However, the only clubs willing to meet the €30 million asking price are from Saudi Arabia.
While initially hesitant to make such a move at this stage of his career, Soulé is reportedly warming to the prospect, particularly given the lucrative €12 million per season contract on offer. Two clubs, Al-Ahli and Al-Diraiyah, are particularly keen and are expected to submit formal proposals to Roma this weekend.
This potential transfer would allow Roma to register a profit of approximately €15 million from the sale of the 23-year-old. The club acquired Soulé from Juventus for €28.6 million in 2024, and the passage of time makes this sale a significant financial boost for the Giallorossi.
