Moreira's Impact from the Bench
Moreira has now scored three goals in three Serie A appearances, accumulating just 127 minutes on the field. Remarkably, all three goals came in his final 75 minutes of play.
"Not bad!" Moreira remarked to DAZN Italia upon hearing the statistic. "I really love scoring at San Siro, it means a lot to me and my family. I'm so happy to score a goal in front of the fans, to get the win and a clean sheet. Now with the break for international duty, I want to be fresh and have new energy to come back."
Despite not being in the starting lineup, Moreira remains focused. "I know what I want in my life and career, so it's important to stay focused," he stated. "I don't start, but I came off the bench and scored, so I just have to give the team my maximum. I have to keep working, keep believing, and that is how to show the coach that I'm ready to start every game."
The Belgium international, who has Portuguese heritage, has also played for Chelsea in England and for Olympique Lyonnais and RC Strasbourg in France.
"I understand Italian, but I can't speak it well yet. I speak four languages for now, but by December I hope to speak five!" Moreira added.
