AC Milan is reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Napoli midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa to enhance their squad for the upcoming season.
There is a growing sentiment that the Cameroonian international could depart Napoli at the end of the current campaign, and the club is expected to entertain suitable offers, according to reports.
While formal negotiations are yet to commence, AC Milan’s interest in Anguissa is understood to be genuine. The Rossoneri are actively seeking players who can bring physicality and experience to their midfield, attributes that Anguissa possesses.
Allegri Praises Zambo Anguissa’s Qualities
Head coach Massimiliano Allegri is said to highly value the midfielder’s strength, work ethic, and tactical understanding. These qualities are considered crucial for improving the team’s balance in the central midfield area.
Although interest from clubs outside of Italy remains a possibility, a transfer within Serie A is not out of the question, especially given Milan’s need to bring in a proven player for that position.
The final decision will hinge on Napoli’s valuation of the player and whether Milan decides to convert their current interest into a concrete pursuit in the upcoming months.
