Brandon Bohannon is feeling revitalized and ready to compete at Art of War Cage Fighting 48 (AOW 48), scheduled for June 6th at the Valley Forge PA Casino. The event promises a thrilling night with a stacked card featuring five professional bouts and fourteen total fights.
A key matchup to watch is the flyweight bout between Brandon Bohannon and Christian Carlo. Both fighters, with impressive 2-0 professional records and a history of finishes, are considered rising stars. Carlo, at 25, brings a Muay Thai and kickboxing background from New York, along with a significant reach advantage at 5’11” compared to Bohannon’s 5’4″.
Bohannon, a 24-year-old talent, has been diligently preparing for this challenge, including multiple trips to Thailand to hone his striking, mental, physical, and spiritual game. His training takes place at The Forge MMA, a facility run by UFC veterans Chris and Kyle Daukaus. Kyle Daukaus, despite his own upcoming UFC fight, will be in Bohannon’s corner for AOW 48.
“I like the fight,” Bohannon stated. “This guy is creative and a little funky. I was at one of his fights live before. He’s definitely tough. He wants to win. It’s man against man. I want to break him and I’m sure he wants to do the same to me. I’m not afraid to get in there and let it be known.”
This particular flyweight contest is highly anticipated, with predictions that it could be a contender for fight of the night and even AOW fight of the year, given the caliber of both athletes.
The AOW 48 card also features other exciting matchups, including Ian “the Hammer” Alston defending his light heavyweight title against Chris Renwick, and Ben “B Mo” Moser facing Cole Cameron. Additionally, Isaac Kent will make his AOW debut against Tyler Kirkpatrick, and “Wild” Mike Kennedy returns to face Ali Omar. Other notable fights include Justus Cheatom vs. Isaiah Herring, Stephen Dmytryk, Chris Molina vs. AJ Bernieri, and Isaac Pantano vs. Sean Casey, promising a night of intense action.
