Conte Set for Worst Serie A Points Tally

Antonio Conte is poised to experience his least successful full Serie A season in terms of points, as he is set to fall short of the 80-point mark for the first time. This comes after Napoli’s recent setback.

Last season, Napoli secured the Scudetto with 82 points, narrowly edging out Inter by a single point after 38 rounds of play.

A goalless draw against Como on Sunday has left Napoli with 70 points, with only three matches remaining in the season.

Consequently, the highest possible points total Napoli can achieve by the season’s end is 79 points, which would represent a new low for the Italian manager.

Conte’s Serie A Points Record

The only instance where Conte accumulated fewer points in Serie A was with Atalanta in the 2009-10 season. However, this was not a complete campaign, as he managed only 13 matches in charge.

His personal best in Serie A stands at an impressive 102 points, achieved with Juventus during the 2013-14 season. He also recorded 87 and 84 points during his tenure with the Bianconeri.

During his time at Inter, Conte’s teams amassed 82 points in the 2019-20 season, followed by a title-winning 91 points in the 2020-21 campaign.
