Fenerbahce presidential hopeful Hakan Safi was reportedly spotted at the Milan headquarters today, engaging in discussions about transfer strategies, according to Turkish media reports.
While Safi’s election as the club’s president is not a certainty, his presence in Italy suggests a strong belief that a significant move could sway the election in his favor over other candidates.
Turkish transfer insider Yagiz Sabuncuoglu reported that the meeting focused on topics related to the transfer market with the directors of AC Milan.
AC Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani convened a staff meeting today that included sporting director Igli Tare and special advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic, all of whom were present at Casa Milan. It is understood Safi was also in attendance for discussions.
Furthermore, Hakan Safi was reportedly in the stands at San Siro on Sunday evening to witness the Serie A match where AC Milan suffered a 3-2 defeat against Atalanta.
Potential players under consideration could include Christopher Nkunku. However, the notion that Fenerbahce might be inquiring about Rafael Leao appears improbable given his reported €70 million valuation.
