Inter’s Path to Serie A Title Glory Next Weekend

Sport news

Inter Milan stands on the brink of securing the 2025-26 Serie A title, with a potential championship-clinching victory next weekend contingent on a win against Torino and specific outcomes in matches involving Napoli and Milan.

Following their decisive 3-0 victory over Cagliari, Inter has solidified their commanding lead at the summit of the Serie A standings. Cristian Chivu’s squad now boasts a 12-point advantage over second-placed Napoli, who still have a fixture against Lazio pending. Milan, also with a game in hand, trails Inter by 15 points in third place and is set to face struggling Verona.

With only five games remaining in their season, Inter’s ascent to their 21st Scudetto appears to be a matter of when, not if. However, for the title to be mathematically confirmed as early as the next matchday, specific conditions must be met.

According to reports, Inter must first secure a victory away against Torino. Simultaneously, they will need Napoli to falter, earning no more than two points across their upcoming fixtures against Lazio and Cremonese. Additionally, Milan must not triumph in their next two matches against Verona and Juventus.

If all these elements align, Inter could be celebrating their league title on April 26th.
