Kenan Yildiz is still dealing with knee inflammation, which led him to train apart from the main Juventus squad on Tuesday.
As Luciano Spalletti and his team prepare for their upcoming Serie A fixture against Bologna on Sunday evening, concerns about star attacker Yildiz persist. The Turkish international has been experiencing knee pain for several weeks due to a recurring inflammation issue. This has been evident as he has been seen wearing tape just below his left knee throughout parts of the 2025-26 season.
During Juventus’s 1-0 victory over Atalanta on Saturday, Yildiz wore more substantial knee support and was substituted after 58 minutes. Although there were initial worries about his availability for that match, the player reportedly felt fit enough to play and made himself available to coach Luciano Spalletti.
Recent reports suggest that Yildiz is unlikely to undergo surgery for his knee. Instead, the focus will be on careful management of the condition to alleviate pain and maximize his participation in matches.
Juventus hopes to depend on Yildiz for the final stretch of the 2025-26 season. This is especially important given that Dusan Vlahovic is currently sidelined with an injury, and other center-forward options like Jonathan David and Lois Openda are not in favor.
