Young Bosnian prospect Kerim Alajbegovic has expressed his desire for a transfer to Serie A, with Italian giants Inter Milan, Napoli, and AS Roma reportedly engaged in discussions, according to Sky Sport Italia correspondent Gianluca Di Marzio.
The 18-year-old sensation, currently impressing on loan at RB Salzburg, remains under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until June 2029.
Alajbegovic, described as a highly talented Bosnian attacker, is known for his exceptional skill and speed. This season, he has amassed an impressive record of 12 goals and four assists in 40 competitive matches while on loan. Furthermore, he played a crucial role in securing Bosnia and Herzegovina’s qualification for the upcoming summer tournament by converting decisive penalties in their World Cup play-off matches against Wales and Italy.
Di Marzio suggests that Alajbegovic views Serie A as the optimal next stage for his burgeoning career. Consequently, he has authorized his father and intermediary, Miralem Pjanić, to initiate negotiations with Inter, Napoli, and Roma.
Versatile in his attacking capabilities, the teenager can operate on the right or left wing, as well as in the trequartista role. His potential has also attracted interest from other prominent clubs across Europe, including Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City, Benfica, and Sporting CP.
