Growing reports indicate that Liverpool is considering retaining Alisson Becker and, instead, offering goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili on loan to both Juventus and Inter Milan.
Despite the Brazilian goalkeeper’s desire to return to Serie A following his previous spell at Roma and with only one year remaining on his contract at Anfield, Liverpool appears keen to keep Alisson for at least another season.
Consequently, the English club is actively seeking a loan move for Mamardashvili, with intermediaries reportedly working to secure a new club for the Georgian international.
Mamardashvili’s potential move to Serie A clubs
According to Sportitalia, Mamardashvili has been proposed to Juventus as a potential replacement option.
FCInterNews reports that Inter Milan has also been approached by Liverpool and intermediaries regarding Mamardashvili for the upcoming season.
It is widely known that Inter is in the market for a goalkeeper. However, their primary focus is on finding a suitable understudy for Josep Martinez, a role that Mamardashvili is reportedly trying to avoid.
The Georgian international’s priority is to secure a loan move from Liverpool to gain more consistent playing time.
Liverpool, having invested €30 million in Mamardashvili from Valencia in 2024, aims for him to continue his development at another club.
Inter Milan is said to be interested in this possibility, having also previously considered Guglielmo Vicario from Tottenham and Ivan Provedel from Lazio.
