Giacomo Raspadori Out for Italy's Remaining Nations League Matches Due to Injury
Giacomo Raspadori will not participate in Italy's final two Nations League matches. The FIGC announced Tuesday evening that the forward underwent tests confirming his unavailability for upcoming games, leading to his return to Atalanta.
This sidelines him for the match against France on Friday and the subsequent game against Turkiye in Bologna on October 5.
Raspadori was absent from training as the squad resumed work at Coverciano following their 4-1 victory in Turkiye. Head coach Roberto Mancini split the team into two groups: one focusing on pitch and gym work with tactical drills, and the other on recovery using the pool and cryotherapy facilities.
Tactical preparations for the Paris match are scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. The absence of Raspadori comes at a time when Italy's attacking options have been a subject of discussion, although the recent win in Bursa has improved morale. Mancini might also consider further squad rotation for the Bologna fixture, potentially resting some players who traveled to France.
