Jhon Lucumi Nearing Juventus Transfer, Bologna's Valuation Raised to €20m Plus Bonus

Recent reports suggest that Colombian international Jhon Lucumi is close to joining Juventus. It's understood that Lucumi has already reached an agreement on personal terms with the Turin club, and Juventus is now reportedly ready to make an offer of €20 million plus performance-related bonuses to Bologna for the defender.

Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that Juventus is Lucumi's preferred destination. The player has reportedly agreed to the contract terms he would sign with the club.

Lucumi's Desire is Juventus

Despite potential interest from other clubs, such as Nottingham Forest, who might offer a higher net salary, Lucumi's priority appears to be a move to Juventus. The reported five-year deal with Juventus is valued at approximately €2.5 million per season, with additional add-ons.

The primary obstacle in the transfer has not been Lucumi's willingness to join Juventus, but rather the ability of the clubs to agree on a transfer fee. Bologna has been holding out for a valuation closer to €25 million, despite Lucumi's previous release clause of €28 million having expired and his contract extending only until June 2027.

Latest information indicates that Juventus has recognized that player exchanges are not feasible in this deal. Consequently, they are prepared to submit an offer consisting of €20 million in cash upfront, supplemented by achievable bonuses.
