Napoli has firmly stated that Antonio Vergara is not available for transfer, dismissing several approaches for the promising young midfielder as they finalize his long-term contract. Sources indicate that the club has turned down offers from both Italian and international teams that approached the €30 million mark.

Reports suggest that Napoli rejected these bids without considering any possibility of selling the player. Several Serie A clubs, including Como, Atalanta, and Roma, had expressed interest, with Roma reportedly considering a €25 million bid. However, Napoli's strategy is to build the team around Vergara.

The renewal of Vergara's contract is reportedly in its final stages. He is currently on a contract worth approximately €400,000, and his new deal is expected to increase his salary to around €1 million plus bonuses, emphasizing his integral role in the club's vision.

This decision to retain Vergara is closely linked to the club's coaching situation. Under new head coach Massimiliano Allegri, Vergara is seen as ready to make a significant impact in the senior team. Allegri is reportedly planning to utilize him in a new role, potentially as a central midfielder.
