Allegri Emerges as Frontrunner for Napoli Coaching Position, Despite Italiano’s Exit from Bologna

Sport news

Although Vincenzo Italiano has parted ways with Bologna by mutual agreement, reports from Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia indicate that Massimiliano Allegri is now considered the prime candidate to become Napoli’s next manager.

The former Milan coach, Allegri, has risen to the top of the list of potential successors for Antonio Conte at Napoli.

Allegri Favored to Succeed Conte at Napoli

According to Sky Sport, both Allegri and Vincenzo Italiano have reached an understanding with Napoli, as the club nears the conclusion of its evaluation process for a new coach.

Bologna has officially announced Italiano’s departure by mutual consent after two seasons. However, both Sky Sport and Sportitalia suggest that Allegri is now Napoli’s primary target.

Alfredo Pedullà reports that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is displeased with elements surrounding Italiano, particularly regarding the confidentiality of a meeting between the coach and the club in Rome earlier this week.

Gianluca Di Marzio indicates that Allegri’s agents and Napoli are in advanced negotiations to finalize the terms of Max’s contract at the Stadio Maradona, which is anticipated to run until June 2028.
