According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Barcelona are keen on including 19-year-old full-back Héctor Fort in a potential deal to sign Alessandro Bastoni from Inter this summer. Barcelona remains interested in the Italian and Inter centre-back and reportedly wants to offer a player-plus-cash swap to reduce the transfer fee.
Inter values Bastoni at €60 million. However, the Spanish giants hope to lower this demand by including Héctor Fort in the transaction. Fort, who is currently on loan at Elche, has been sidelined since January due to a shoulder injury. Despite this, the versatile full-back had a promising start to the season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in his first 12 appearances.
Previous reports suggested that Bastoni is open to a move to Barcelona this summer. One of the speculated reasons for his potential departure from Inter is the hostile reception he has reportedly faced at Italian stadiums recently. It was also previously reported that Bastoni was in discussions regarding contract details with Barcelona, aware that Inter would not let him leave without a significant transfer fee.
