Reports from Italy indicate that Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones is attracting the attention of Inter Milan, particularly as the English player is reportedly seeking a move away from Anfield this summer. However, Inter’s primary midfield acquisition target remains Manu Koné of Roma.
Following their domestic double success, Inter Milan has commenced planning for the upcoming season, with club directors convening with coach Cristian Chivu on Tuesday.
According to publications like Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport, Manu Koné of Roma is a key focus for Inter, having been previously courted by the club last summer. Roma may be compelled to offload players before June 30 to adhere to Financial Fair Play regulations, making Koné a prime candidate for a sale and the top name on Inter’s transfer wishlist.
The newly crowned Serie A champions are aware that Roma could demand a fee between €40 million and €50 million for the French international. Roma’s manager, Gian Piero Gasperini, has publicly acknowledged that Koné might depart the capital after two seasons.
Both Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport also report that Inter is closely monitoring Liverpool’s Curtis Jones. The English midfielder’s contract at Anfield extends until June 2027, but he is reportedly pushing for a transfer due to a strained relationship with manager Arne Slot.
Inter has reportedly been in communication with Jones’s representatives since January, and the 25-year-old is considered one of the potential targets for the recently crowned Serie A champions.
