With Giovanni Carnevali poised to take over as Juventus’ CEO, succeeding Damien Comolli, reports suggest that the Bianconeri might resume contract talks with Dusan Vlahovic. Juventus appears to be on the verge of a significant shift, as Comolli is expected to tender his resignation today during an extraordinary board meeting.
Potential New Push for Vlahovic Contract?
The French director’s tenure at the Allianz Stadium has lasted only one season, and he is anticipated to be replaced by Giovanni Carnevali. According to Gazzetta, the incoming director could initiate renewed contract discussions with Vlahovic, whose current agreement in Turin is set to conclude at the end of June.
Comolli had previously been unable to secure an agreement with Vlahovic, despite an offer of €6 million per season plus bonuses. Vlahovic’s earnings in his final season in Turin amounted to €12 million, including add-ons. Should Vlahovic depart, Kenan Yildiz would become the highest-paid player at the Allianz Stadium next season, with a salary of €7 million annually.
Furthermore, Gazzetta indicates that Juventus continues to express interest in signing Alexander Sorloth, Randal Kolo Muani, and Emiliano Martinez. There is also a possibility of Tarik Muharemovic, a Juventus Academy alumnus currently playing for Sassuolo, returning to the Allianz Stadium and reuniting with Carnevali.
