Liverpool and Serie A Transfer Buzz: Key Names Linked in Busy Summer Market

Sport news

Liverpool are poised to be a significant player in the Serie A transfer market this summer, with numerous connections, both in terms of potential arrivals and departures, linking the Merseyside club to Italian football across various positions.

One of the most developed situations involves Curtis Jones. The English midfielder was close to joining Inter Milan in January, but the transfer ultimately didn’t happen. Inter, however, remains interested and is expected to revisit their pursuit this summer as they seek a replacement for the departing Davide Frattesi.

Conversely, Denzel Dumfries has been consistently linked with a move to Liverpool for over a year. The Inter right-back has a release clause that becomes active in the summer, and with his future at the Nerazzurri uncertain, Liverpool might consider making a bid.

Juventus Eyeing Liverpool Veterans

Meanwhile, Juventus is actively targeting multiple Liverpool players as part of their summer squad overhaul. The potential move of Alisson to Turin appears to be the most advanced of the three rumoured transfers. The goalkeeper is reportedly open to returning to Italy, having previously played for Roma.

Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson are also reportedly on Juventus’s radar as their contracts at Anfield approach their end. However, these links are believed to be in their early stages.

Finally, Giovanni Leoni, who joined Liverpool from Parma just 12 months ago, has been speculatively linked with a return to Serie A, with Inter Milan mentioned as a potential destination. The young defender missed most of his debut season at Anfield due to injury, and his future at the club remains uncertain.
