Marotta Denies Inter Negotiations for Roma Defender Ndicka

Sport news

Inter President Beppe Marotta has stated that the club is not in discussions for Roma defender Evan Ndicka. He also provided an update on the pursuit of Atalanta talent Marco Palestra, indicating no current news on that front.

Marotta made these remarks to reporters in Rome while attending the election of the new Federation President, Giovanni Malagò, outside the FIGC headquarters. Speaking about Inter’s transfer strategy for the upcoming summer, following their Serie A and Coppa Italia victories, he addressed the club’s targets.

While the club’s primary focus is reportedly on Palestra, a player valued around €50 million and seen as a potential successor to Denzel Dumfries, Marotta stated there was “no news on that.”

However, when questioned about the rumors linking Inter with Roma defender Ndicka, Marotta was more direct. “We have not discussed anything for now, we haven’t sought him out, so if you ask me whether we are in negotiations for him, the answer is certainly not,” he confirmed.

Ndicka, an Ivory Coast international, has become an important player for Roma, making 42 appearances and scoring five goals this season. His current contract with Roma extends until June 2028, but his future remains uncertain.
